Just when I thought I was being strong and not starting any new projects, along came a sewing weekend with Susan Smith. I did resist and not start her beautiful Sweet William quilt but instead made a start on St Neot Band Sampler.
I started with wayyyy too much fabric!
But at least now I have made a start. This will be coming along with me tomorrow as the girls and I head down to Linda's for the Crow Gathering.
As well as the great company and divine food, there was also a fabric stall and this is what I came home with (as if I need any more!).
Hertfordshire is going well. I have pieced the linen into the circle and now I have to piece this piece into another big circle. Please cross your fingers everyone that it all goes well for me.
It is still hot here and I think the weather is catching up with everyone. I am still trying to walk regularly, getting out early to beat the heat. Max decided he might like to walk with us the other day, somehow I don't think he would go well with a lead attached....

I love seeing a new post from you Sue-Anne. I think your Hertfordshire centre is spectacular. I haven't got past cutting the centre circle and the first round of points. Beyond that I am stuck for inspiration. I know it will come eventually. Have the St.Neots bits ready to start too. I am excited to see you have started it. It will be beautiful. Wish I could come to the Crow Gathering too. Have fun.x
Beautiful work...keen to see its progress.
HI Sue-Anne
I Love the St Neot project - I'm sure you will enjoy it. Good work to resist the Sweet William project. It's one I really like the look of.

Love both your projects--all lovely fabrics! Looking forward to seeing the progress on both! We had a stray kitty who used to walk "with" my husband and our dog. Stray kitty now has a home with my MIL.

Hello Sue-Anne, your St. Neot looks amazing and I love the fabrics you are using are so beautiful. It looks like a very nice quilt. Have a lovely weekend.
Lots of stitching with friends is always great. The Gatering of the Crow Girls sounds like something out of a Charles DeLint story. Bound to be fun at the Barn
Enjoy!!
Hooley Dooley Sue-Anne! That centre antique linen fabric is stunning!! Your centre piece for Hertfordshire looks brilliant! I look forward to seeing your progress. xx
Love your fabric choices, can't wait to see your progress. Is the cat taking you for a walk or the other way around.
I just love the fabrics you have chosen for your latest project. BTW There's no such thing as way too much fabric! ;)
Happy Easter,
Susan in Texas
