First Finish for 2012

I have a finish for 2012!   My Clamshells is finished, complete with label on the back.

Soot & Ashes

This is another almost finished.  Cheri Payne had a quiltalong last year and I participated quietly in the background.  I have always loved her work and found this project to be lots of fun.

This week has also seen me working on  the next border that goes on this...

Irish Circles

And whilst I was fossicking into the depths of the fabric cupboard, I came across this project half completed.  I still have a lot of applique to do before this quilt is finished but maybe I might get back into it soon.

More pavlovas!  This time, I made mini pavs.  Here they are cooking in the oven

Here is one all ready to eat and ...

A collage of my pavs - was nearly going to make this my blog header but I thought it might be taking it a bit far!

OK Pavlova queen, as much as they look absolutely positively delicious it is the clamshell finish that I am drooling over . I really enjoy your colour selections. I have just discovered Cheri Payne. I like the way she looks at the world. Are you doing desserts for the Gathering in the Barn?

Wow Sue-Ann, that are some beautiful quilts you are showing there. The colours are so soft and nice. How big are the clamshells? The Irish Circle is just beautiful. This is a copy of an antique quilt, is it not?

So many beautiful things in one post! I don't know where to start. I think I would have had enough to see and admire if there were only pictures of one of those projects;) Did you do a lot of quilting in the clamshells? The circles are also beautiful, I like your colour choises. And the big applique blocks could almost be a quilt with just the four of them and may be a sawtooth border in between them?
And your bakeries look yummy.

Your clamshell is lovely!!! I just this week sewed on my last clamshell!! I'm trying to decide if I want to add a border or just finish it with binding like you have.
I especially like the tiny print you used for your binding and the light colored clamshells. You must be sooo proud for this finish!!!
