Klosjes reporting two days late!
We headed off to Winton on Saturday to watch Nic drifting and I took a sewng bag full of prepped Klosjes and hexagons. It was a beautiful sunny day and thought it would be perfect sitting in the sun sewing. Guess what! I didn't even open the sewing bag. I do this ALL the time, I think I will get heaps done but NO, it never happens. So yesterday, I sat in my chair for most of the afternoon stitching Klosjes so that I could show something for the week. I have made 6, bringing my total to 67.
Speaking of Winton, we took Buddy along for the day. Here he is sitting trackside. When we first arrived I thought I had made a huge mistake bringing him. He was terrified of all the noise and his tail was down and he wanted to go straight back to the car. After a little while he settled down, but I wont be putting him through that again. At least I got lots of cuddles with him as all he wanted was Moi, his mum.
We sat in the perfect spot, near the end of the straight as the cars start heading into a sharp corner. We saw three smashes, all of them in front of us and the picture above was the worst. Thankfully no drivers were injured but the damage to their cars was heartbreaking. They put so much time and money into getting the cars right for drifting. Nic didn't have a very good day - he had tyre issues, but it's all a learning curve for him and he will know better next time. They had 85 cars entered and most of them travel up from Melbourne as I believe Winton is the only track in Victoria that will let them Drift. It is certainly very exciting to watch.
And here is my little boy all tuckered out after his big trip to the races!

I do that too, prepared blocks when I go somewhere and most of the time I came home with the bags unopened. But think that if I get stuck at airports somewhere for a few days without our sewing!!! Yes, it will drive me up the wall so, better be prepared. Poor Buddy, he was scared. Have a nice day - Hugs Nat
So cute, Buddy not the cars of course!!

Oh Sue-Anne you are a brave mother. I watched DRIFTING on Top Gear last night. A bit(?) scary but the blokes seemed to be enjoying it. I thought of you and lo and behold you were out watching.
Too bad about the stitching but there are no quilting police. Right?
Enjoy your week Terry
Hi Sue-Anne,
I do that all the time with my sewing, plus I always underestimate how much time I actually have to do something. Never mind. Poor Buddy, hope he is having sweet dreams.

Poor Buddy! It looks like he survived okay, being cuddled by his mama. :) Lovely klosjes! I have found that the time that I would get a lot done is when I do NOT have anything prepped or I've forgotten my thread or something. When I'm prepared, I never touch my hand work. I think it's Murphy's Law!
Awww. Sweet little tuckered out puppy! Karmen
Oh my gosh Sue-Anne Buddy is such a wonderful companion he looks soooo cute. Your stitching looks great...Its cold here now, and our fire is foing all the time. I dont like the heat at all!
Aww Buddy. Little guy. I know he's so tired but he's so cute, too!!! Happy to hear you had a good outing even if it wasn't en-tyre-ly perfect. *wink* And thanks for sharing your additional Klosjes. I just love them!!!

Poor Buddy! What a stressful day. Funny about not even opening the sewing bag. That has happened to me a few times. I love the pink spool and I believe I have some of that pretty yellow fabric.
Your klosjes have such an etheral, soft look about them..I love them!!
I soo.. love your little Buddy., your sewing is so beautiful too.
Please give him a sloppy kiss from me
