My Late Klosjes Report

My Klosjes report for the week is 3.  Two short of my weekly target, but considering I didn't make any last week I figure 3 is better than 0.  Grand total is 87.

Even though I am trying to use fabrics from my stash, I did make a couple of purchases last week that were perfect for Klosjes and clamshells.  Actually, I have so many little ongoing projects like this that I can use up a fat eighth just cutting one Klosje, a couple of clamshells, some yo yo's (which have really been neglected) and a new little project that requires 1/2 inch hexagons - boy are they a lot smaller than 3/4 inch hexagons!

I am so in love with my clamshells at the moment!

I  have been sewing arms on headless dollies this week and have finally finished.  I think I have them all lined up when I glue them down, only to find that when I have appliqued them, there can be either a gap or an overlap.  I have done a fair bit of pulling out this week and maybe I might have to cover the next lot in papers to avoid my frustration.  Today I plan on joining this border with the hexagon border and applique some heads tonight in front of the telly.

Keep warm/cool everyone,
Sue-Anne xxx

Fabulous fabrics you're using in your klosjes and clamshells! The half-inch hexagons are definitely much smaller than the three-quarter inch ones ;-) but are fast to stitch.

You always have such pretty fabrics Sue-Anne and I do the same, a few hexagons, clamshells, klosjes. All those quilts in the future will have matching fabrics and will mix and match. I do love that dancing dolly border. I must get my act together and get back in klosje mode as I haven't made any for weeks now.

Those fabrics are gorgeous and they will make lovely clamshells. Swan Lake looks like it is purring along slowly and challenging you just a little.

The many projects you have going on is one of my most joyful things about visiting. It's fun and inspirational. Besides, I like learning as you go along. I enjoy watching the process of the Doll Dresses and arms (and eventually heads) come together, understanding as I am now that it's not all that simple. Boy aren't your clamshells yummy. Best fabric ever!!! Love it. Klosjes are so cute, too. Lovely post Sue-Anne. Oh wait, those little hexies. You're going smaller, eh? Inviting!

Hi Sue-Anne. Very pretty fabric to add to your stash and yes, perfect for klosjes and clamshells! Three klosjes is definitely better then zero. I made a few more last week and need to post a report. I also spent a little time with my clamshells and have the first two rows completed. Now, it is time for you to get some heads on the dollies! LOL.

Well, 3 klosjes is a lot more then I made so I think I have had a bit of a 'klosjes dip'. But I will be back. I love your fabrics and you did a lot of work on your dollies.

Oh Sue Anne I love your fabric choices, so similar to mine.
I have dipped my toes into the clamshell craze, something small methinks. I am making slow progress on my 1/2 inch hees, but they are delicate and beautiful, and worth the effort. I will have to take another look in my stash to dig out these fabrics that look so good on someone elses blog.LOL
