It's Finished!

It's finally finished!!!  I have been working on this since I attended Sue's class over a week ago.

I'm really happy with how it has turned out and even now, when I look at it, I can see areas where I could embellish just a little bit more.

We  have had some major rainfalls and flooding in our little part of the world.  We were fine here in Wodonga but my parents, who live in Benalla, were evacuated on the weekend.  Thankfully the water didn't get to their house and all is well.

And picking my daffodils from the garden and bringing them indoors is reminding me that Spring is here and we will see some nice sunny days soon - I hope!

I am ver the moon with your needleroll. It is fantastic: congratulations, Sue-Anne! How unique... Well done, I am sure Sue will be proud!
I really like how you included zippers. And that is the cutest birdie, ever!
I could not park a needle in him... :)
Wow, that's a lot of water, hoping your parents are ok now.
And your daff's are certainly happy girls!
Have a wonderful Spring, my friend!

Love your needleroll. I can't tell if it's yours or Sue Spago's. Great colour and design. I'm sorry I missed her workshop. Perhaps next time. I'm glad you and your parents are okay with the flood. I was thinking of your parents because I know they live in Benalla. I think we have enough rain for awhile - Hugs Nat

Hi Sue-Anne,
I think this is my first comment on your blog ~ just had to say I love your colours you have used for your needleroll. I attended Sue Spargo's class held at Amitie's last year, it was a wonderful class and Sue is so giving of her time & ideas. I have placed an order for her latest book with Amitie and can't wait for it to arrive. from Jenny McH

Hi Sue-Anne,
Your needlecase is fantastic. Well done on learning new skills and for finishing it. Girl Power!!! Glad your mum and dad are ok and hope the water didn't leave behind too much mess.
I love the smell of daffs. I noticed for the first time yesterday that some of our trees are beginning to turn autumnal.

Sorry to hear your parents were moved. Glad to hear all is alright.
The sewing roll is scrumptious. I find that type of stitching liberating. Sounds like you did too.

The needle roll looks sensational Sue-Anne. Looks like you really enjoyed the process. I saw some more great needle cases on the Hatched and Patched blog. Those water levels are so scary so glad everyone is ok.

Oh Sue-Anne, it's gorgeous! When I saw it the first time I couldn't picture the inside at all. It's just lovely. I love the bird and the little elephant trim. Where on earth did you find that?

Happy stitching,

Your "Sue" project is just wonderful! I want one! I know, get busy and make myself one.

We have been reading a bit about the flooding in our newspapers. Not good news. You are safe and sound, though.

Isn't she the nicest lady? I love the colors you used and your embellishments. I chuckled when you said you add more, isn't it always true. I subscribe to the "more is more" theory - always!!

Love your needleroll. Sue Spargo is a truly unique creative spirit. I was fortunate enough to do a 2 day workshop with her last year at The Home Patch (Anni Down's lovely shop). Seeing your finished piece has inspired me to get on and finish my workshop block. Regards,Rowena
