Time To Move On

The time has come to redistribute this basket of fabrics into the larger overall stash.  I feel a little sad saying goodbye to this collection as I have been working with them for the last twelve months and know each piece of fabric intimately.  You see, this is my Swan Lake basket and she is finally finished.

The backing fabric has been joined, she is now at the quilters and I feel a little lost without her.

Whilst I feel that not a lot has been happening in my little part of the world, I have been busy with Irish Circles and have managed to complete another 7 blocks over the last couple of weeks.

They have been fun and quite challenging at the same time.

There is also something else that is starting to consume my daily thoughts.  Chris and Amy are getting married in April.  I am starting to get really excited and have already bought a new pair of purple shoes...

now all I need is an outfit to go with them!

Congratulations on finishing Swan Lake! What an amazing accomplishment. It already looks so wonderful, and quilting makes everything look even better. Are you planning to enter it in any shows? You really should consider doing so; I'm sure it would do really well. 8)

Your Irish circles are lovely too. You have really had the pedal to the metal lately and gotten lots accomplished. Good for you!

Weddings are always exciting. 8) At least your feet are ready. 8)

All the best,
Susan in Texas

Wow! Your swan lake looks lovely, it must be nice to have the project finished after 12 months. Regarding your Irish Circles project, are you able to tell me who wrote the pattern or where I might be able to get it? They are just beautiful!
Thanks,
Nicky

I love this post! I know exactly what you mean about regreting sending those fabrics back to your stash. It's like you are worried you will forget about them. The quilt looks great and the fabrics look great together. Same with your other blocks. I enjoyed admiring your color combinations. Congratulations on the upcoming wedding. My boys are both dating wonderful girls and I find myself looking forward to wedding announcments. So far, I am the only one.

A huge congratulations on your quilt finish. It's wonderful, but I can imagine how you feel now that it's done. But the good part is that you can look at it every day when it comes home from the quilters.

You inspired me so much I ordered the pattern and it came this week. Now I need to hone my applique skills. Your quilt is just gorgeous!

And love those shoes too. Would love to see what you're going to wear with them!

Your SL looks fabulous. I know what you mean about filing away the fabrics. I did that with my "mother garden" the other day and it was sad.
