Quick Finish & Inspirational Blogs

I was needing  a bit of a "Finish Quick Fix" and when I saw Jan's new little quilt, I knew this would be perfect.

After a couple of "black" purchases, and a little dive into the stash ....

This is the finished little quilt.  It took very little time to make, once the fabric choices were made and I have a piece of Blackbird Designs sampler print in black somewhere in the stash that I will use for the backing.

The internet is a very dangerous place for me.  There is so much to see and be inspired by.  I have been mesmerized by all the beautiful work that is being done by my Dutch blogging friends (which are listed on my blog list), and in particular, a quilt called Pockets of Posies by Anni Downs of Hatched & Patched.

With a click of the mouse and a couple of pushes on the buttons of the phone, I finally weakened and ordered the pattern.

10 little packets of goodness arrived today.

That's a beautiful little quilt! I understand perfectly what you mean: the internet can be a very dangerous place indeed... The Pockets of Posies are just irresistable! (I have been strong so far...) Enjoy making it!

I like your little quilt Sue-Anne. I find the sewing quite easy but colour choice, that gives me nightmares. It is so hard to resist all the lovely things available to us on the internet and so easy to buy. The Australian dollar has fallen so I won't be shopping. But when it goes up the temptation is strong especially when they offer free shipping! Thanks for you comment and "see" you after Bendigo.

Annie's work is such fun. Enjoy.
The quick finish is always good for the soul. Like baking the cake and sitting down to a slice while still warm.
Happy Stitching.

Nice work with the blacks - it has such an elegance to it. Sometimes the quick finishes are so revitalising (creatively).

I've oohed and aahed over the Pockets of Posies - I hope you have fun with it.

Fantastic little quilt! And the pockets of Posies: I just love that quilt. I wonder how yours will look like. Internet is indeed a very dangerous place. I didn't quit realize it, but with you it is autumn. Fantastic, isn't it, that in blogland you can enjoy our spring and summer and once we have autumn or winter, we can just visit you for some sunshine!
