Birthdays, Phebe, Easter & Buddy!

We had two birthdays to celebrate last Friday at sewing.  Michelle signed up for a BOM last year and it is mostly applique.  She hasn't started it yet so I thought I would make her a little purse to carry her thimble, glue and needles in to try and motivate her to start.

Michelle's turned out so nice that I decided to make Jan one as well in her favourite colour, green.

I have been adding more to Phebe.  It is starting to look a little better now.  I have finished the applique on the first of two Browne Sisters blocks and have made a couple of hexagon flowers for Swan Lake.

This morning I realised that it is less than two weeks till Easter so I thought I would put a couple of my rabbits on display.  This one is from the garden.  I brought him inside to sit on the hearth.

This is Mr Hopkins - boy is there are story to tell about him!  But I will leave that for another time.  He is my favourite out of all the dolls I have made over the years.

I can't remember where or when I got these two above but I love them.  The little pink rabbit is only about 3 inches tall.

And here is a pic of Buddy.  I think he is way overdue for a trip to the groomer!

I love those pursed Sue-Anne, what a great idea to carry a spool of thread and glue etc. Gorgeous fabric you used.
Miss Martha went to the beauty parlour last week and is now respectable again, she gets soooo grubby, she's not very ladylike I'm afraid!!

Those little purses and lovely and what a great gift. Very nice little beads on the side, too.

And how is it that Easter's almost here? Wasn't it just Christmas a moment ago???

Hi Sue-Anne
I just love my purse SOO much. You will be happy to know that I visited Rose today with 4 (yes 4) quilts - that means I have now depleted my stock of UFO's and am ready to start on my Applique BOM - Long overdue I know - but now I have the perfect Purse to make the Journey with me.
Love
Michelle

Lovely post full of goodies Sue-Anne. I am envious of your bunnies. The little purse for Michelle is such lovely fabric and so pretty.
Poor Buddy he looks like he's getting his scruffy dog look just right and your going to wisk him off to the groomer.

Such lady like purses very dainty, unlike my $2 shop camera case. The recipients are grateful I'm sure. My half birthday is in ...

The bunnies are very appealing. The applique is coming along faster than my dollies.

Happy Stitching Terry
