9 Patch Finished

I have finally finished my positive/negative 9 patch.  The borders took a bit longer than I thought they would.

I couldn't continue the border strips right to the edge because the math was a bit strange, so I had to improvise and place these quarter square triangles (I think that's what they're called) in the corner.

Have you heard of Klosjes?  They are adorable and I will be back soon with an explanation and some "show & tell".

Oh Sue-Anne,
I knew the wait would be worth it. Well done. It looks fantastic. I may have a go too as a way of getting those scraps down. Now for those klosjes!!

This looks great!! I love how the border makes the quilt look "woven".

OK, you've got my attention with the Klosjes ...

Oh so happy with your Nine Patch! Very cute Sue-Anne. Love it. Love seeing some of my very own fabrics in there, too. Yes, I've heard of the Klosjes - I think I might play, too. I just have to figure out how to pronounce that word!

Are you going to take part in making spool blocks? I have been seeing them on a few blogs. Seems like it is catching on at lightening speed.

Your finished nine patch project is a treat. Those pieced borders always seem to take longer to do than you think they will.

Wahoo Sue Anne! I love nine patch and this is so fabulous. Did you start counting down to the last few? I did last summer when I made one.
I love the borders so very original. Great photos too.

Great quilt and I really like the borders and your corner treatment.

My name is Ranette and I'm a Klosjes addict, but I too need to know how to pronounce it...lol...

I really really like this one, Sue-Anne! The borders really set it off perfectly. I think it turned out amazing! What a clever way to finish off the corners; I never would have thought of that. I'll have to remember that the next time my corner math doesn't work out the way I want it to. 8)

Happy quilting,
