Let's Play

Primitive Pieces by Lynda is one of my favourite designers.  She is the designer for Me & My Shadow that I have been working on in previous posts.

She asked on her blog if anyone wanted "To Play".  Of course, I said "I Do!"

To qualify I needed to have this book above (of course I already had it) and then all that was needed was to decide on a quilt from the book...

Make up a block and send it to Lynda.  She would join them all together and one lucky contributor would receive a top already made!

I dived into my stash and picked out some fabrics.

And in no time at all, my block was made.

Maybe just make one more in a different colour?

They will be heading off to USA on Monday morning.  Can't wait to see the finished top and fingers crossed I may even be the lucky recipient???

I really like that block Sue-Anne and your colours. I may even have to have that book it looks like it has some rather nice ideas. Hope you win the quilt top.

Your version of the cheese quilt is even more outside the box than mine. I've got to love someone who doesn't play by the exact rules, like me. Nice to meet you, I'll be visiting often.

Great blocks! I hope you win. I received a primitive doll from my secret pal last year that looks very much like the "Primitive Youngins" girl doll. At least she did before I gave her more hair. Sally was completely bald on arrival. 8) Here she is with her new 'do: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii60/SusanInTexas/secret%20pal/005.jpg

Good luck in the draw,
Susan

Hi Sue-Anne,
You are going to be very bad for my bank balance as I have just checked out Primitives Pieces by Linda and I HAD to buy a pattern and the book. I thought I had gone to quilt heaven.

Oh, oh, oh what great blocks!!! I love them, I love the piecing (it looks so fun), I totally totally dig the fabrics (I have some of this and that, too) and I'm getting distracted so that's not good. You temptress you! Another color? I have some Judie Greens in my stash that I'd love to see in that combo but a Double Pink would be nice, too. Oh wait - no - BROWN!!!!!!!!!!!!! A girl loves her some brown. hee!

I just saw one of those jack blocks on a blog yesterday. I have that book and didn't even realize it was a pattern in the book. I had better revisit the book.
