Ryland Manor & Some Applique

This one is my current "Pride & Joy".  I made Ryland Manor from a Block of the Month program through Threadbear at Castlemaine.  The quilt was designed by Megan Carroll. I have a beautiful reproduction sampler fabric put aside for the backing and I am saving up to get it custom quilted.  There are lots of different techniques in this quilt and those appliqued leaves took FOREVER to do.  The single block pictured is 6" finished and there are 37 hand pieced pieces in it!

This next one is called Me and my Shadow and is a pattern from Primitive Pieces by Lynda.  I adore all her creations and have collected heaps of her patterns.  This is what I am stitching of an evening.

This is the centre of the quilt.  There are a couple more borders to go around and a bit more applique.

Well done on your new Blog Sue-Anne. Beware - they are addictive and can take over your world :-) Thinking about starting one up again now I have more time in my life. Look forward to seeing all your projects - finished and unfinished! Carolyn Watson

The quilt tops are beautiful and your applique is amazing! I like to applique while watching tv at night too. Right now I'm hand quilting before the hot weather is back.
